In this process, the stainless steel surface is not punched out but etched out exactly by a special photo-etching process. This makes the edges of the cutting surfaces particularly sharp and the graters cut the ingredients into small pieces instead of crumbling them. Originally, this process originated from the production of micro-computer parts and was further developed by Lurch to bring a new dimension of sharpness into your kitchen.
