I normally always use normal razor blades (throw-away) but years ago I tried an electrical shaver in hope to safe money over a longer time. But I was quite disappointed with the results at that time. Ever since I only used the one time razor blades cause there I go really “silk-smooth legs” as result.
Now I was offered the chance to get this shaver for free to test it and so I was super excited if the Ladyshaver LS5160 could change my opinion about electrical shavers from years back.
Facts:
The shaver feels smooth and good in the hand. It feels and looks like very high quality. In the time I have been using it I couldn’t notice any trace of use.
The shaving process is super easy. Instructions are nearly not needed (maybe only to really get to the best results possible in matters of angle etc.) it is a very intuitive device.
While shaving I noticed no damage on the skin and it is absolutely pain free. You can choose between two statuses differing what area of your body you want to shave (never noticed a big difference there).
It works under the shower but I have the feeling results were better when I shaved dry.
Cleaning is quickly done and without problems (the tiny brush coming with the shaver is quite handy).
The result however - once again - leaves me very unsatisfied.
Hairs definitely get cut down short, BUT I do miss the silk feeling completely! If I feel with my hand after the shaving, I always feel short stumps of hairs and that is not the lvl I try to accomplish when I shave my legs for example.
So all in all:
I think for me this device is not worth the money cause I am not at all happy with the end result. I do however think that people that can’t use normal razor blades because of sensitive skin could really be happy with this product, since it’s absolutely skin friendly. No irritations, nor redness no cuts in the skin.
