Samyang 14mm T3.1 ED AS IF UMC VDSLR, Nikon

The new Samyang 14mm VDSLR (Video Digital SLR) version has been developed primarily for cine / filming and video purposes with Canon and Nikon DSLRs or professional camcorders with corresponding mounts.\n\nLike the Standard 14mm prime lens, it features the same superb optics with the addition of follow-focus gear rings and decoupled aperture. Such alterations allow the user to smoothly and quietly change focus and aperture / depth of field whist filming, and allows coupling to professional geared follow-focus systems. The aperture and focus scale have been relocated to the side of the lens, to aid videographers.\n\nWhen using the Samyang 14mm on an APS-C DSLR - the field of view is still equivalent to approximately 22mm (35mm equivalent) which is still impressively wide, It produces an immense field of view - 114 degrees on full frame sensors, 93.9˚ (Nikon APS-C with 1.5x crop factor), or 89.9 ˚ with Canon EOS (1.6x crop factor)\n\nThe Samyang 14mm T3.5 IF ED UMC Aspherical Lens features high build quality, with a built in petal shaped lens hood to help shade the lens from light sources behind the camera.\n\nThe Samyang 14mm features a geared focus and aperture rings which is smooth and well-damped, and couples with follow focus systems. This provides a positive manual focus, particularly suitable for movie makers or professional filming with DSLR’s where manual focus is preferred, enabling focusing pulling whilst video recording.\n\nThe optical construction is 14 elements in 12 optical groups with 3 high refractive index elements, 2x ED element, an aspherical hybrid element plus a aspherical glass element. The latest generation of anti-reflective layers: UMC - Ultra Multi Coated are incorporated to minimise flare and ghosting. The lens is supplied with a special front snap-on lens cap, rear lens cap, and soft lens case.\n\nAvailable in Canon, and Nikon mounts .
