The lens is much more compact and lighter than other macro lenses. This lens also provides a greater depth of field compared to other extreme macro lenses in the market. The Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X is developed for both professional and leisure macro photography, to be used in the field or indoor set-ups. An optional LED Ringlight and Tripod Collar are available for added control and precision operation.\n\nDedicated to extreme close-up imaging, this lens is a specialized macro lens for photographing subjects at magnifications greater than life-size. Specifically developed for macro photography, this lens is designed for use within a 2.5:1 to 5:1 magnification range for producing greater-than-life-size imagery.\n\nCarefully designed to extend the short working distance of traditional 25mm lens in order to provide sufficient room for lighting hitting the subject. Operating within a 2.5:1 to 5:1 range, this lens has a minimum focus distance of just 6.8″ at the 5:1 magnification along with a comfortable 1.6″ working distance.
