Terrible Service
I have no idea if it's just this particular store, this manufacturer, or the whole of the Netherlands that's this awful. I've never encountered such arrogant customer service and downright ridiculous logic when shopping in any other normal country.
On August 8th, I bought a freezer, and a few days later, I noticed that the handle area of the freezer was curvy. I'm not sure if all the freezers of this model are like this or if there's an issue with the one I received. I've been trying to get in touch with Bemmel & Kroon through emails and phone calls, and often it takes several emails to finally receive a reply that's not actually helpful. My question is simple: I asked them to compare the shape of my unit to the same model and let me know if the shape looks normal. They couldn't even fulfill this request. If I want to return the product, I have to spend at least 45 euros. If I want an exchange, they insist that "a technician visit is needed." Getting support from the factory takes nearly two weeks, which goes beyond the 14-day cooling-off period. And the factory would charge 89 euros "if no technical issue is found."
So, as a customer receiving a faulty product, you're caught in a paradox where you're afraid to trigger the after-sales process. After all, customers aren't experts and can't conclusively determine a product issue through their own observations. Most of the time, they have questions that require the store's answers. Unfortunately, Bemmel & Kroon doesn't assist their customers. In this situation, if you want to initiate factory support, you might end up losing more money, and the cooling-off period has already passed.
